Bij het tweedaagse event op 28 en 29 mei 2024 in het Okura hotel in Amsterdam is ook een aantal ministers uit Indonesië aanwezig.

Het evenement is onder meer bedoeld voor bedrijven uit Europa die willen investeren of handel willen drijven met Indonesië. Het kan dan bijvoorbeeld gaan om infrastructuur, transport, fabrieken, hernieuwbare energie maar ook toerisme.

Onder meer minister van handel Zulkifli Hasan, minister van coöporaties en MKB Teten Masduki en minister van investeringen Bahlil Lahadalia zijn volgende week in Amsterdam. Voor Nederland is onder meer minister Liesje Schreinemacher van buitenlandse handel en de Nederlandse ambassadeur in Indonesië Lambert Grijns op het forum aanwezig.

De verwachting is dat de Indonesische economie dit jaar opnieuw met ruim 5 procent zal groeien. Sommige prognoses verwachten dat Indonesië met meer dan 270 miljoen inwoners in 2030 de vierde grootste economie in de wereld is. De Indonesische regering probeert investeerders aan te trekken.

Het is voor het eerst dat een dergelijk forum in Nederland wordt gehouden. Ondernemers en investeerders die erbij willen zijn, moeten zich van tevoren aanmelden.
